THE ONLY FACILITY FOR SERIOUS LIFTERS IN THE INLAND EMPIRE
I'm Alex Bromley, owner and head Strength Coach at Inland Empire Barbell.
I've been training, competing, and coaching for nearly 20 years. I started lifting at shiny corporate box gyms in my youth. As a serious lifter, I remember the obstacles they presented:
- An environment that lacked real, proven training knowledge.
- Not enough squat racks and too many bench pressers.
- Angled weight plates and 'NO CHALK' policies that made deadlifting next to impossible.
As I turned my attention to higher competitive goals, I quickly found that you are only as strong as the gym you train at.
That's why we made Inland Empire Barbell: the strongest gym in the Inland Empire.
We combine a competitive training atmosphere with decades of collective experience and specialized equipment for Powerlifting, Strongman, and Olympic Weightlifting into an elite training facility.
And we provide the chalk.
training is difficult
Aside from being physically demanding, making continued, predictable progress without getting sidelined by injury requires a trained eye.
Most simply hammer away at the weights without any real plan or direction, crossing their fingers each week hoping that it was enough to progress.
Don't be that guy. Inland Empire Barbell offers oversight and structure to it's members.
Experienced coaches give insightful recommendations at every turn; from selecting appropriate weight jumps to correcting form breaks. Programming is planned months in advanced and implements the most proven principles from the last century of physical culture.
Every lifter who follows our tested program hits PRs in the first month.
First time competitors can find preparing for their first meet intimidating when it should be rewarding and productive. Working around an experienced team can help with questions about:
- How to pick attempts
- How to make weight
- How to peak for a meet
- How to time warm-ups
- How to find and register for meets
- How to qualify for bigger events
- How to schedule training for off-season and on-season
- What conditions might vary from contest to contest
- And everything in between
Don't waste years learning it the hard way.
learn from the best
When we call ourselves the STRONGEST GYM IN THE INLAND EMPIRE, we aren't exaggerating.
We routinely see 600+lb raw bench presses, 700+ conventional deadlifts, 700+ raw squats, 500+lb front squats, 350+ STRICT overhead presses, and 400+lb atlas stone loads.
In fact, we boast the STRONGEST female lifting squad in Southern California! Strength isn't just for men anymore... 3 of our ladies squat and deadlift over 400lbs and our resident Strongwoman can load a 260lb atlas stone at a body weight of 138lbs!
The best don't get there accidentally. The strongest of the strong know the techniques, the tricks, and the training that leads to world class strength.
What would direct access to this type of training knowledge be worth? Let's compare.
Direct consultation with accomplished lifters can run thousands of dollars per month. The plus side is that you can have any questions answered definitively and get direct, personalized programming. The downside is that you might have to take out a second mortgage.
Class based barbell instruction (i.e. Crossfit) will offer specialized equipment and direct coaching, but typically cater to brand new lifters without any clear competitive goals. The classes cater to the lowest common denominator and are specifically programmed for 'Functional Fitness'. The going rate in Redlands? $150-250 per month.
The typical rate for online coaches range from $100-200 per month (depending on number of IG followers) and only include vague, cookie-cutter templates with no personalization or direct supervision. One of my newest clients just finished a training cycle with a IG lifting star who boasted a 100k+ following. What did nearly $100 per month get him? A monthly Excel template with pre-filled percentages.
Corporate gyms provide access to chrome barbells and plastic plates at a discount, but are notoriously filled with phony 'experts' and actively enforce rules that interfere with competitive training ('NO CHALK' rules, 'Lunk Alarms', etc.). Prices can range from $15-40 a month depending on size and amenities, however this accounts for ZERO instruction or direction and someone will likely tell you at some point that deadlifting is not allowed.
